Elements and Performance Criteria

Determine job requirements
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Comply with work health and safety (WHS) requirements at all times
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with SOPs
Identify job requirements from specifications, sketches, job sheets or work instructions
Use comparison and/or basic measuring devices
- Identify and use measuring devices to undertake required comparisons or measurements using SOPs
Undertake checking or sorting of items using comparison and/or basic measuring device according to SOPs
Maintain comparison and/or basic measuring devices
- Maintain basic care and storage to manufacturers' standards or SOPs
